Soon I will finish aliens and I have found a scene that is not in the film....
instead of ripley watching the marines take a hammering from the APV vechel she enters the colony shortly after the marines with the last team.
we shall see how the book does soon.
It won't talk about UFO's though.
I have seen to much to be converted. They are real and in a sky near you.
Wish I was in Scottland theres a lot of sightings at the moment.
Did you read my new plan? |
The trip was a tough walk - 10 miles day one (over hills, moors and valleys with a 40lb pack) and day two was 10 and a half miles of the same. I didn't see any UFOs and I did scan the skies above 'The Peebleshire Triangle':

What's your new plan - signal to them with a very powerful torch like they do in parts of the USA that are supposedly UFO hotspots?.
I saw them trying this on a documentary once and the 'UFOs' flashed back.

I laughed at one of the comments on that article: ''Ufology should be recognised as a discipline; not a disability'' |

Long walk, still hinking is supposed to be fun.
No not torches, there just not powerfull enough, green or UV lazers now thats how to attemp a communiction.
I have already posted before, perhaps thats an idea for a tread...Agentscott's guide to get a sighting.
Anyway Cactus and Flossy have seen something since my advice to look up.
Thats the best results.
A dissability...I like that...it kind of is whith the ridicule.
Perhaps i'm due a payout for compensation. |

You would only see a laser beam in space if it was pointing directly at you, ie in your eye.
We only see laser beams on earth because the atmosphere is rather polluted with dust etc. In space theres nothing, so the laser would be invisible from any other angle.
And to play on the tagline of "aliens"
"In space, no one can see your beam"
I still cant believe it was filmed in London. The extended edition is supposed to have 17 minutes extra! and wiki has some interesting facts you may enjoy.

Something else partly off topic.
Bill Paxton who plays William Hudson in the film, is the only actor to of been killed by an Alien, Terminator and Predator. |

Well you started it!
You threw me on a tangent and I blitzed youtube and wiki.
Some of the lego APC's are fantastic, and some interesting facts:
It was a modified British Airways aircraft tug, origionally weighing 70 tonnes, they removed a little over 35 tonnes, The power station floor still had to be reinforced. No one knows of its present where abouts or if it was broken up after filming.
And the scene where the marines come out of "hyper sleep" it looks like there is 12 "pods", there was in fact only 4 and a load of mirrors.
If you ever stumble across the book Stephen Kings "Christine" get it and read it, its a lot more in depth than the film.
Enough from me |

and the cat 'Jonesy' who starred in the original Alien and Aliens was the brother of Bagpuss .
I've got the Aliens Quadrilogy and on the extra discs there's loads of interviews, making of and trivia about all four films. For example the Prinson Planet featured in Alien3 was originally going to be an artificial world made out of wood and populated by Monks.

Wow lego ACP's! didnt have those when I was a nipper. It was ice cream stands and pirates.
I got that to DB although mine was on sale at HMV for £8 so I snaped it up.
Theres only 1 disc per vid though so not many extras.
I just finished the book last night and that was great too, I strongly reccomend it.
Interestingly, i'm gonna watch the film tonite and see all these extra bits on the directors cut. |

I never watch the extras that show how the film was made and special effects etc... because I think it ruins the movie - I first learned that lesson when I watched the documentary after the Matrix. |

No I just remember it was about 10 years ago I got the vhs and at the end I watched the documentary that showed how the scenes were made, 5000 cameras, special effects etc and any time I have seen it since, it just ruined the movie for me, so I never watch the extras. |

What do you mean it is bullshit? I disagree. I don't think all the Air Force personnel who witnessed the craft and the beings were crazy or delusional, I just don't believe that. I think agentscott was right - the cynics did a good job on you DB |
