That's one theory that's got a lot of popular support in the Paranormal press AgentScott but there's no hard science behind it.
Despite the comments made by Cactus I have my own thoughts on why ghosts/spirits are seen to move through walls but not floors.

If Stephen Hawking told me them or I saw them published in a respected journal then I'd consider them informed opinions from a respected Scientist but it depends what 'irrational' beliefs they were and his reasons for holding them.

Hawkins is a beleiver in aliens and his last lot of programs put forward some very interesting thought on it all.
He suggested that they may be hostile and if they haven't seen us we should think ourselves lucky as they may be hostile .
They could also like the look of our planet as after many years of losing their own planet to nature (as all creatures would eventually) then they may well like the look of another habbitable planet for themselves.
They wouldn't be breaking any natral laws either by attemping to take it...it would be like nature fighting for survival and territory in order to survive as is played out every day.
I wonder what his veiws on ghosts are?
I wonder what his veiws on ghosts are entering a black hole?? |

I'm a believer in Aliens too I just don't believe that there is evidence to suggest they've visited Earth yet.
The figures tell the truth and Hawking supports those figures.
