Wanna name a few Cactus?. I made a similar agreement with my late dad. I'm also still waiting.

Ive a book - The Unexplained
Theres an account in it; Lord Henry Brougham, he made a pact with a college friend; years later he was in Sweden and saw the apparition of his friend. On his return to Edinburgh he learned that his friend had died on the exact date of the apparition. |

I've read that case, it was many years ago. Unverifiable, unsupportable, veridically useless as evidence - just a story.

But a good story from a good witness. There are many more; they can't all be basket cases or intoxicated, can they? |

Cactus, I can tell a damn good story and make it convincing. I've done it in my distant past to scare my friends - I even scared myself a few times
People who report ghosts and UFO's aren't drunk or basket cases - like Agentscott they're genuinely convinced that they are correct in what they saw. I don't doubt them, I just doubt their interpretation of what they saw. That's what I question. All that most people can post is stories. Whilst I respect the stories I can't accept them as anything other than subjective accounts.

She was sitting on me, not at the end of the bed. That was a dream state, night terrors, the old hag syndrome. All explainable, although at the time I was damn scared

very unusual though DB - the imagination is much more powerful than that; night terrors would usually show monsters etc...
at the time did you believe in ghosts/think it was a ghost? |

Yeah, for sure. At the time I believed in ghosts - I was only 15/16/17.

Our next door neighbour ( a middle aged woman) had died either the night before or the same night. Her bedroom backed onto mine.
