You read the cards, kizzy, in a certain way, what i would call the true way. i use playing cards too. When tarot cards were first 'come-up' with they were playing cards that were originally used. There are a certain type of people that generally use this method, with the playing cards, and am wondering if you are one of them? |

I am not a believer in this "card reading" thing. Seems to me when people are told that the "cards say this or that" it is more like a subconscious suggestion put in the mind of the receiver and that person goes out and "finds" something that the cards say is going to happen. A subliminal message if you will. Kind of like how Voodoo works.
Politicians use this technique to get people to vote for them lol.. |

In fact our playing cards derived from tarot ones. The four suits of the minor arcana have remained, along with all bar the knights (we still have the page, Queen, King)
For a bonus point, what's the only major arcana card still in the normal playing deck? |

Would it be the "Joker"? |

Moon can you tell us the history behind playing cards being derived from tarot cards?
Sounds interesting. |

I have dipped in and out of reading Tarot for years (also playing cards, just as accurate I found) but have read them more regulary over the past few years.
At the moment I read the Hanson-Roberts deck. The deck is smaller than the Rider-Waite, which I also have but seems to work well. |

gut feeling, and being brave enough to accept what you see feel and say it out loud. it nmight seem strange and stupid and meaninless to you, but to someone else it might mean the world .
