i see colours.... i started by learning how to meditate.... because it focus you mind on how to focus... then i prayed for the sight of Auras...
it takes practice... but is worth it in the end.... as is anything of a spiritual nature...... FOOD FOR THE SOUL...as it is the soul that is being opened up for communication.........

i do a yoga practice every day and this sets me up better for meditation, you should all try it, it puts you in a place of complete calm and relaxation.
i see auras by taking a deep breath then letting it out slowly, look past the subject you are trying to get the aura from and totally relax your stare, and allow your energy to build by visualising a powerfull orange glow comming from your centre to your whole body then look and you will see the auras all around you.
all living things have this aura and the best way to practice is by using a tree, just sit about a foot infront of it and practice the above as i explained.
Some books you should read= the celestine prophesy by james redfield and the 10th insight by james redfield, this guy totaly rocks |

Kizzie, how long did it take you to see auras?
I've got a yoga tape here at the house, now I've got a good reason to give it a try. |

it took about 2 or 3 hours to see my first aura, i was 14 years old at the time and my dad gave me instruction.
i started on plants and trees, and then my dad taught me to send and receive energy to and from the plants.
and in my job as a carer i use it all the time and its very useful.
i started yoga at the tender age of 11, my dad insisted that we all did it to help tune in to our upper mind inorder to studdy well at school and develop our psychic abilities.
everyone in the world should do it. |

Hi Chris
Just wondered if you had gotten any further? I am only just beginning and although I can see the aura I do not get any colours (apparently some people are never able to determine colours). I have heard that practising on plants is very useful when you are starting out - I practice on my cats (they don't tend to give you funny looks for staring at them)the silver outline that I can see looks pretty cool when they swish there tails lol x |

Thats pretty interesting stuff Carebear, I must admit I have tried to locate my own aurara, I tried on my cat Pusscat and really anoyed her.
What technice are you using because I didn't feel to much, not even on me. |

lol it doesnt mean I see black and white - I can see pretty much the same as you - only some times Ill find it difficult to identify certain colours if they are close together - like if the lighting wasn't good on a snooker table I might not be able to identify the brown but most of the time I can - if you asked me the colour of anything I would know it 90% of the time, but when people talk of bluey purples and orangey yellows and reddy browns - I wouldn't know what colour I'm looking at
Also my Dad has normal colour vision and he saw the whole thing and confirmed it was white - like that was what I said to him 'isn't that white?' |

Hi Agent Scott x I would highly recommend Mark Smith's book Aura's - non jargony, easy to follow and full of his experiences.
If you look at yourself in a mirror (try for white or pale background) in natural light - relax and look staight ahead at on one side of your face or shoulder. You don't look directly at yourself kind of through yourself (if that makes sense). After about 20 secs or so you should see a silver/white hazy glow around you. The first time I managed I was so excited but as I said before I haven't seen colours yet - I will keep trying!!!
Oh one more thing lol I do find my eyes dry out a bit and get really blinky - I hope that stops with practice! |

Hi Carebear,
Thanks for the tips there.
I've just tried, luckily my room has white walls and is light.
My eyes got a bit blury as I tried to stare through my shoulder and I think I could see something at my edges, if it was it my aura is about 2 inches. It was colourless like when you see haze on a warm road.
I will see if I can pick that book up on Ebay.
Carebear are you well up in these things? Do you know about crystals and all that? |

Hi Agent Scott
That is cool, sounds like you are well on your way. I am strictly a beginner so we can keep each other updated on how we are doing - hopefully other people can add from their experiences.
I don't really know about crystals - but as with most things like that I am very interested. I was going to do a crystal healing night class at my local college but I heard about it too late to enrol, will def being trying to do it next time though |

Thats a good idea,
I don't really know much about it either but I definatly think there could well be something in it, defo going to buy that book.
I did start looking for it earlier but ended up gettting another alien book'Looking for the aliens' should be a gooody!
I have heard that you can tune up your aura with crystals and if you get a chakra set then that will be really good for astral projection and OBE.
Also each person has their own crystal that will also be good for all this stuff, I tried with some quartz...The plan was to charge it up with sunlight after rinsing it with water and then pop it under the pillow and sleep.
I think that I jumped the gun because unfortunatly it didn't work but to be honest I borrowed the quartz from an ornament on the shelf so maybee it wasn't the right bit for me.
Hope you get on next year!
p.s Good luck! |
