Help in understanding

hi, i've allways been a bit off a non beliver and a mr logic, thinking there is allways an answer to everything, this way of thinking has got me through life pretty dam well, but last night somthing happend i can not explain, i am not looking for you to belive my story only for someone who has experianced or can give me an explaination.
it was about 12:50am when i decided to go to bed, i had just finished a painting i was doing for a friend, i turned out the light and slipped under the quilt i layed back and closed my eyes thinking about what plans i had for the next day as this is my preferred way of slipping into the land of nod, a few minutes later i opend my eyes to stare at the ceiling but to my shock there was the top half of a figure looking down at me, at first i thought it was my mind playing tricks so i closed them again and reopened them but he was still there he looked nothing like in the films, it was so faint to try and catch the image on camra would of shown nothing but his fetures was still very distinct i watched him with amazment and fear he was talking to someone but i could not hear him, then another one came and was looking down on me, he moved from side to side so i followed him with my eyes then he stopped and started silently screaming at me and dissapered but came back with someone else this man wore a bowlers hat and he reached towards me with one of those things around his neck doctors wair and tested my heartbeat, as the thing touched my chest that area went particuly cold and it was then i jumped out of bed to turn the light on, as i swithed it on the guitar that stands and has done proud for the last 2 years on the top of my set of draws rocked backwards and forwads before settling again, once i had calmed abit and tryed to dysmiss the images i lay back in bed and there nothing but what looked like a realy thin layer of smoke.
thanks for reading this, i myseelf would like to say that i had fell asleep and was dreaming all this but i know that is not the case as much as i would like it to be, what i saw fasinated me more than scared and would love to find out what they was doing and what they wanted.

Greetings Dan and welcome to the forums.

Fascinating story.. Brings up a lot of questions..
There are times when we swear we are awake when we really are asleep.
Was this a real haunting or just a residual haunting.

We could use more information such as your location, have you ever been told of anything like the place was haunted before, have you or anyone else had any experience like this before, History of the house etc...

that sounds like a scary experience (well it would be for me) is this the first time any thing like this has happened to you

yes it's the first time, it was scary but more fasinating than anything, i belived if you dont belive in ghosts/spirits then you wont see any (thats what i've allways been told by people) and i was fine with that, but now i dont know what to belive. maybe i should start drinking to at least give me an excuse :)

yeah but if you did that you would see flying pink elephants and they arnt very paranormal Laughing
