Re my 'spirit guide' - his 'animal form' is a raven. Odin, the chief Norse god had two - Persistence and Memory. BTW, I volunteer at Nottingham Castle on Saturdays. The room we're based in [in the Gatehouse] has the chair used by Keith Allen in the BBC TV series of Robin Hood. [He played the Sheriff.] Each arm has a carved rook or raven. Not surprising, as the Normans were of Viking origin.
But my 'guide' also has a 'human' form. I first 'encountered' him is 2006, just before I went into hospital. And I've 'seen' him quite a few times since. He is the Angel Nathaniel, which means the same as my middle name [Jonathan]. How auspicious]. Nathaniel is surprisingly monochrome - dark hair, wings and robes, pale skin, and grey eyes. But, when the light catches his hair and wings, they have a blue-purple shimmer, like a raven's plumage.... He is my 'avatar' on World of Ghosts, BTW.
I would like to hear about members' spirit guides and animals . |

It seems we have a difference of opinion here! Like flossy, I'm sure that everyone has a Spirit Guide and Guardian Angel. It may just be that they aren't aware of it. Or, as flossy says, how to contact or meet them.
paranormal.about.com has sections on these subjects. Just type spirit guides or guardian angels into their search engine. And happy reading! |

I first 'met' Nathaniel in 2006. And, at the time, I wrote down a description, and my impressions of him. I have 'encountered' him several times since. Most recently when Mum died [5 September 2010]. I often 'sense' he is present, rather than 'seeing' him. My Avatar on World of Ghosts shows both Nathaniel and his 'animal form', a raven.
In 2007, when I created the Elf Kingdom of Eliand, with the seminal character of Ulrik the Elfling, I based one of his ancestors [King Hlothar Rafn-Schild (Raven-Shield)] on Nathaniel. But gave Hlothar an eye-patch!
In 2009 I created a 'virtual home' for Ulrik and Eliand at alex-lockwood.webs.com. Hlothar's image, and Coat of Arms is in Chapter 11.

Hi there all,
It's a truly lovley thought that we all have a spirit that want to guide us and I certenly wouldn't put money on them not existing but I must say that if I have one he must be a naff guide. He hasn't guided me anything yet and I don't know him atal.
I beleive the paranormal but cant see the point in having a guide that never makes himself known.
If anyone has a tip on how to contact him then I will give it an openminded attemp. |

I've always been puzzled as to why spirit guides are always quite exotic characters and never dead Decorators from Rotherham or drug addicts from Huyton who've O'deed on heroin?....cue
answer which will go something like "Only the higher beings can transcend onto the spirit guide plane' etc etc
IF spirit guides were easy to contact Agentscott we'd all be singing their praises and constantly thanking them for their wise guidance in our lives.

Picture the scene - A Spiritualist Church somewhere in the southwest like Bristol. A meeting is in progress where spirit guides are being discussed…
"OK Jean, tell us about your spirit guide"
Jean - "Well, he's an Apache Chief called Running Fox who died at the battle of The Little Big Box trying to stop the slaughter of his family. He's very tall and proud and gives me great guidance like ' What um goes around comes around' and 'Everything happens for um reason' and that."
"That's fantastic Jean, what about you Glenn?"
Glenn - "My spirit guide is an Egyptian Princess called Ne-rah-te-tah who
died in childbirth just before they put the roof on that big Pyramid. She comes to me a times of stress and I sense her just over my left shoulder saying things like 'Don't buy the single pack of Danepack Bacon when Tescos are doing two for five pound Glenn. How are you going to make your Giro last till next week if you're not thinking straight?'."
"Lovely Glenn, she must be a great comfort, especially in Tescos and you Brenda, who's your guide?"
Brenda - "He's called Don and he's a former Plumber from Barnsley. He passed into spirit during a gas explosion caused by his own cigarette sometime in the late 1970's. I can tell when he's around coz I can smell burning. He gives me advice an that when I'm not sure about things like the time I were waiting for the number 46 in town and it was late and a 78 came and I were going to get that and all of a sudden I caught a whiff of burning rubber and I hears this voice in me head saying 'Noooo Brenda noooo, wait 'fot forty six. If tha get's seventeh eyt tha'll avfot walk across Racecourse estate an it's full o druggies wi dogs on string'. So I didn't but the 46 were an hour late".

I've not really thought about it, bitterbuck. But, if I did, then the animal would probably be a cat. A small black one, with a bell on the collar, would be just perfect! |
