Are you certain this is a mist it looks to be a trick of light and shadow? No offence or skepticism implied just offering a possibility. |

Ok I grabbed the pic and ran it through photoshop many times and this is my personal evaluation of the image in question it is not meant as an absolute answer or to discourage or discredit anyone.
After downloading the image I imported it into PS where I used several filters to clarify the image a bit more. Using highlight and shadow filters i was able to bring out and determine direction of lighting and the hue associated with it. The overall tonal quality is pretty constant with a global ambiance due to cloud cover.
The only tonal quality that may be anomalous is the small patch of blurred gray about 2 inched from the right hand side of the image. I did run several filters including embossing which brings tends to bring out mists, orbs, etc that should not be there. This patch looks like fog however it is consistent with the over all tonal quality of the rest of the image and could be dry grass. It shares the same colors as the light source which seems to be mostly ambient due to overcast skies. I can find no traces of anything resembling a figure only the fog/dry patch mentioned.
If you have a higher resolution of this image I can examine it far better than this one. Being only 800 pixels makes it hard to see any great detail and therefore the results of analysis are inconclusive at this time. |

OK Karl, thanks for the raw file. I downloaded it and using a graphic's converter program I used different negative formats which usually brings out details better.
From what I see, there is nothing supernatural there. As MRX pointed out, could be just fog or even a fingerprint on the lens. |

I think this is one of the only times I
have seen a face that no one has had to
circle for me to see!
Straight above the gent with the red striped shirt, just below the top of
the hill, I
can make out a face.
I do realize it may be how the grass and the mist come together
to make it look like a face.
Still a bit cool. |
