Knoxville, an early town, was first settled by immigrants from Tennessee in the late 1840s. In 1854 William A. Pope opened a general store there, and a post office was established. By the time of the Civil Warqv Knoxville had four general stores, a gristmill, a sawmill, a distillery, a tanyard, and a church used by Baptist, Methodist, and Presbyterian congregations. The community continued to prosper until the early 1870s, when it was bypassed by the International-Great Northern Railroad. Most of the merchants and residents moved to newly established Troup, on the railroad. The post office closed in 1875, and within a few years Knoxville was a ghost town.

A lot of the ghosts towns, have a slight population, but they are only there, since they own a home. But the towns are most scary on overcast grey days.

The areas are dusty, and dirt flies everywhere.

You can even feel the haunt of the places. There are many dead cabin/lumber neighborhoods in the MT.’s near Birdcreek.

Mostly nomads live there, though there are some beautiful Alaskan pines and flowers there!

But it’s scary on a dark and windy night!

Were these ghost towns from the gold rush days in Alaska?
Do you have any pictures of the buildings in these ghost towns?

Sadly no. But I think that the ghosts are from any era. Um..., I knew of a ghost which haunted my home. He lived about 102 years ago, and he looked like a miner.

Back then, my neighborhood, was nothing but grassy hills. He lived in a cabin. He was stuck on the land until I released him.

One of the members Nyleen_of_Reality also lives in Alaska.
(She hasn't been on for some time)
She has had some unusual experiences.
You may want to read up on some of the ones she has shared.

In Florida we have lots of ghosts. I know Gainesville had a Arbys which is haunted after all the employees were put into the freezer and shot. Ever since then it was said it was haunted. The Ownders always denied it however they tore down the old Arbys and are building a new one in that spot. Also in Florida we have had three indian wars. Skirmishes were all over the state between indians and Americans be it soldiers or Settlers. The woods in some areas are known as haunted and no locals will venture into them for fear of Indian ghosts which have a reputation for being quite nasty. Over in the Daytona area we have a road that heads to Orland and every once in a while you may see a 1950s style care with no head lights driving eraticly down the road until it disappears into a mist. Then theirs St. Augustine which is the oldest city in the US. Its haunted to the brim and there's to many for me to even start. Besides that i know of several local storys about a woman who is dressed in all black who can be seen walking up a bridge at night and when at the top she shall disappear.
