I love to experiment with different Tarot spreads/layouts. A great way to learn Tarot, I think, is to pick a card a day. Also I find this method works if you have a question to ask, as a form of guidance.
I hadn't done this for a while and decided to pick a random card asking it a specific question which I did.
The card I picked was the Ace of Wands.
I was two days late for my period (TMI) and was convinced then that I was pregnant. I went out and bought a test.
The test showed positive and I now have a gorgeous 9 month old baby boy |

I did. The latest reading I did for a friend showed very negative cards. She has since found out (roughly a week later) that her doctor wants to send her for stomach tests at the hospital. The cards stood for illness/depression/breakdown.
Some people think the Tarot is a lot of mumbo jumbo, but in my opinion and experiences they are far from that! |

I've used the Tarot, and with some success, but to be honest I think they're merely a focus for what we're already capable of. |

I've only ever had two Tarot Readings, one done by my sister. I couldn't quite follow her explanation of it... . It wasn't until I looked into Tarot that I realised how many sets there are! I now have two: 'The Goddess' and 'The Cleopatra'. [I bought the latter as I have a passion for things with an Ancient Egyptian theme. I've been studying that civilzation most of my life. But have still not been to Egypt.] I also bought a book which gives a card by card explanation of Tarot, as well as history and background to the subject.

A set of seventy-eight playing cards decorated with a variable set of fantastic and mystical diagrams, symbols, and illustrations. The earliest deck still in existence is dated circa 1432. Researcher Norman Schwarz has dated the Tarot to between 312 and 64 B.C., from various clues such as the inclusion of earlier astronomical constellations (such as the Lovers and the King).
The cards are grouped into the Major Arcana (twenty-two trump cards) and the Minor Arcana (fifty-six suit cards). The four suits consist of fourteen cards each, ace through ten, page, knight, queen, and king. These cards were first in use in the mid-1400s and have been used ever since by gullible persons to cast fortunes.
For use as a divinatory device, the Tarot deck is dealt out in various patterns and interpreted by a gifted “reader.” The fact that the deck is not dealt out into the same pattern fifteen minutes later is rationalized by the occultists by claiming that in that short span of time, a person's fortune can change, too. That would seem to call for rather frequent readings if the system is to be of any use whatsoever.
