O.K..... I'm new to this forum, having been redirected here from a regular site of which I am a member,
I don't actively hunt for ghosts or anything of the paranormal variety,
Whilst in Edinburgh in November, I took 2 successive photos, details of which are;
Camera type: Nokia N8 cam phone 12mp
Weather : cold and slightly damp
Time : 5:01pm
Date : 05/11/2010
Location : Edinburgh
Image res : 4000 x 2248
no one was smoking in the area, it wasn't cold enough to see your own breath, no flash was used;

image 2
These photos have not been tampered or altered!
So........ what have I captured in the first image and not the second? |

Welcome to the forum Kev!
Wow!!
Not sure what you caught there but I can
clearly see a face of sort and hands.
Any history of activity in this area of the street or the buildings?
Being "slightly damp and cold" may still have had an
effect on the image you caught on this picture.
How much time elapse between the two photos?

Hi SuperKev, thanks for sharing those pics.
Firstly I don't think the pics have been tampered with in anyway and I believe you're being entirely truthful in your account.
I'll give my explanation that may explain what your pics show
Weather : cold and slightly damp
Ideal conditions for moisture condensation.
it wasn't cold enough to see your own breath, no flash was used;
Sometimes condensation in the form of breath is not readily seen by the naked eye- unless illuminated with a flash or torch. This is breath from the photographer illuminated by the camera flash (you may not have been aware that the flash went off). The high luminosity of the 'breath' can only be caused by a very bright light source in close proximity to the camera lens.
So........ what have I captured in the first image and not the second?
Breath/airborne moisture.
Why is it not in the second image? - probably a slight change in wind or undetectable slight breeze direction.
Hope my post helps explain your pics.
Did you visit the Edinburgh Vaults on your trip or take any Ghost Tours as a matter of interest?
