hi as a suggestion i think you would get a whole lot more members by changing the style of the forum. as an experienced forum builder i found alot of members come to forums and are commited to the ones that are appealing and fun to be on as well as the simplicity of the use of it.
using this as an example (this is not me adding a link to mine just showing an example of my explanation)
check out the style and use of this forum i built http://forumaddicts.friendhood.net/
it has brightness (appeal) simplicity (no confusion) and fun bits like the use of the widgets on the right of the page "Top Posters" and "Recent Topics" making the latest posts easy to find etc. it also shows the most popular topics and amount of topics and posts for each section.
here you have alot of potential for an amazing forum as you have a subject which could hold a massive fan base so by arranging your catagories and subjects down a bit it gives the members alot more to talk about and wont loose their posts in certain area's, maybe by keeping to certain catagories such as "PARANORMAL FACT" then "FICTION" then you have the photo and video sections and then move onto myth and legend angels daemons aliens and conspiracy.
as a member looking at your forum it first comes across as dull and not very attractive but i see great potential and would like to help in any way i can also being a paranormal fan myself.
:) i would like to see this hit top of the list and be the one to come to :) |
