if there were a genuine peace of footage out there no-one would believe it cos theres that many fakes out there  |

Very true Floss. No footage, however good, bad or convincing on it's own is going to be acceptable as proof. Footage/pics will need independent corroboration from multiple sources unknown to the witness, preferably with supporting pics/film and ideally radar confirmation. A tall order I guess but these idiots who post fake footage ultimately only hinder those that are genuinely investigating the phenomenon.

| Actually this footage has not been proven to be a fake - I just said about it being odd him walking down the street with the camera - but, he had been seeing these UFOs all week over his work building, and he had recorded some from the office on wednesday a couple of days before - this may be real. |

If I said I was abducted by aliens and taken to the Moon and back and supported this with a convincing piece of camera phone footage would you believe me because no one had proven I was faking it?.
Of course this may be real but the very fact that these UFO's over one of the biggest, most heavily populated cities in the world where nearly everyone has access to a camera (phone) or HD recording ability were not independently reported or filmed puts a question mark the size of two Aircraft Carriers over this mans claims.
Just because something has not been proven to be fake doesn't increase the likelihood that it's real - especially where UFO footage is concerned.

So much UFO Sightings posted on YouTube have been professionally created for entertainment purposes only. Considering that YouTube now pay uploaders for their content over a period of views, I guess the likelyhood of us seeing these will become more often.  |
