Has there ever been any research done into this? Through all 3 of my pregnancies my experiences were heightened. Ive always seen and heard things but when i was pregnant with my first child i saw on average 2 things a month. Then with my second it was seeing and hearing things. With my third i saw things, heard things and was touched.
Its only now 4 years later that ive had the time to sit back and think things through that i realised there could be a connection. I still see things now but they have died down to maybe 3 or 4 times a year.
anyone have anything similar happen to them? |

Hi Laura,
I'm not aware of any valid research that might support your experiences.

I think I have heard of this before - can you describe what you saw and heard? |

Hi, thanks for your replies.
Things i have seen-
1st pregnancy, i saw a little boy wearing a blue top. He ran past our kitchen door and was seen by my husband peeping in the living room door. Seen him quite alot.
Had someone sit on my bed and take my hand, felt like a male presence.
Heard lots of footsteps.
2nd pregnancy, footsteps heard again, running back and forward. saw a man standing in the living room as i walked past the door.
Had someone sitting on my bed again, 3 times this happened.
3rd pregnancy, i heard a little girl crying and calling for her mummy, then heard womans voice soothing the little girl. Heard footsteps and then the little girl singing twinkle twinkle.
moved house.
in new house was woken up by someone shaking me. house was full of smoke as hubby had fallen asleep and left a pan of rice cooking. (knob) Nobody was there.
Heard footsteps again.
Moved house.
footsteps again. Little girl crying again. Asked neighbours if they had heard anything and there little girl told me that the little girl was called lily and that her dad had hurt her and made her bleed from her tummy. heard her a couple of times, set voice recorder to record one night, too scared to listen to it!!! lol.
moved house.
Last night someone came and sat on my bed again. no touching or anything just sat there for a minute or two then got up. heard footsteps walking away.
Present day! |

Interesting Laura - whatever these entities are, it's clear they mean you no harm. You should definitely listen to the voice recorder. |

Laura, although I don't really believe that it has a connection, but my question is, do you think your third eye is open? Or it could be to hormonal changes in the body when one is pregnant and sensitive to everything that surrounds her. Although you saw something, is there anything else in the house that see what you saw? Kids/children are also very sensitive t paranormal stuff... Just sharing my opinion |

hi Aileen, I dont really have any opinion when it comes to the thrid eye as i dont know enough about it. I honestly believe its more down to hormones and being sensitive.
My Husband saw the little boy in blue from my first pregnancy, he also heard the footsteps many times. He is a complete sceptic but also cant explain what he has saw and heard.
None of my children have experienced anything directly although they are frightened to be left alone upstairs. Whether this is down to anything supernatural or just normal childhood fears i dont know.
Im going to dig the voice recorder out and listen to it. |

sounds like you are at your most sensitive when your pregnant .
I have heard about pregnant people seeing ghostly children when they are pregnant somewhere before.

Hi!
I have had the same experiences with my first two children, so I do believe there is credibility to it all.
I have read quite a bit on the subject of hormonal changes and the paranormal and it is quite common! The same when teenagers are more commonly susceptible to poltergeist activity. And it has been commonly noted that women that were sensitive to the paranormal in their teen years lose it a bit then gain it again around their thirties that is around the time of hormonal change.
I do believe that hormones and brain activity could indeed induce sensitivity or even attract paranormal activity as you have new life growing inside of you. The thing is as well that there is no real proof or documented science to the paranormal so no one can say you are imagining it as there is no way to tell!
The brain is a very powerful thing and can make you see and feel things but I say trust your own judgement. I had so much paranormal activity during the pregnancy of my second child I actually slept downstairs as it was too much! |

Deanne, Hi, could you give some examples of paranormal experiences you had while pregnant? |
