For some years now my wife and I suspected a spirit or ghost was living with us-first odd experinces would happen when we lived in Winchmore Hill, north London. Our cats would often stop what they were doing and walk around certain areas of a room as if someone was standing there and we.d see a dark figure out of the corner of our eyes. Plus I often smelled cigar smoke in the house. My wife smoked cigarettes and Never in the house and I haven,t smoked a cigar since 1977 or any thing for that matter. Then one evening my daughte who is very recptive to the paranormal came over for a visit and went to the toilet upstairs. When she came down she asked "Dad do you know any one who would be wearing the uniform of an american pilot?" My mind went blank as I couldn,t think of anyone I knew personally. I served eight years in the US Air Force, but never got to personally know any pilots. Next morning at breakfast my daughter asked:"Dad you say you can,t remember any pilots you were friendly with. Does the name Jim Kramer mean anything to you?" "Yes I did meet a Jim Kramer when I was tdy for a short period in Tan Son Nhut Vietnam in August, 1964, but he was in the army." "He came to me in a dream last night-tall, good looking with short brown hair-says he was a helicopter pilot." "Yes-Jim was an army helicopter pilot I met while over there" I confirmed. "He told me that after you went back to Okinawa he was sent to rescue some marines who were caught in an ambush. He got the gis out, but died three days later from wounds he took." "No way did I know that. I haven,t seen him since November, 1964." I told her. "Well he,s the one looking after you and Mum now." I often feel he,s looking over my shoulder-probably even now and I often smell cigar smoke when none of us smoke.
