Hi everyone. I have experienced a few strange goings on lately and would like people's opinions of it. Last week, my partner and I were fishing overnight at a lake inside a nature reserve with his nephew and his friends. As it was starting to let light, my partner and I botg saw what looked like someone walking away from the camp site wrapped in a sleeping bag. My partner thought it was his nephew so followed, couldn't see anyone and went back to find everyone still asleep in the tent. As I heard him asking if any of them left the tent, I saw the same figure walking back to the tent. I asked my partner if anyone came back and he said no.
A few days later, we parked my car in that spot to fish again a little further up with friends. When my partner went to the car at about 11.30pm, he bent over to put his rods in and felt someone touch him. He descibed that it was like someone frisked him from his ankles to his head.
A few months before this happened we were fishing with the same friend. My partner and I went to get some food for leave and cant go back. He said he was sat there catching fish but when it got dark he heard a voice say "fuck off" which he ignored and then felt as if someone had punched him hard on the back of his head where he has a crucifix tattoo. My partner looked across the lake and said he saw glowing eyes which he admits could have been a deer.
We have also heard stories and people who go to that part of the lake get attacked. There are stories of a ghost lady would walks her dog at night and speaks to anyone she finds. And there are apparently other spirits too.
Thanks for reading and I'll appreciate your opinions. |

This place sounds like a real goer; Where exactly is it? |

It's in Ash on the Hampshire/Surrey boarder at the Lakeside Nature Reserve. I've tried looking online for any other evidence of hauntings but cant find anything. |

Having researched the place it's clearly a huge belt of publicly-accessible rural land, which at night is likely to be the haunt of any number of weirdos and sexual deviants.
I think I'm beginning to see what's going on... |

Possibly. But where my friend says he was punched, it would be difficult for someone to sneak up and disappear without being seen. There is a long wooded corridor leading to the fishing sppt with plently of leaves and wood to hear someone coming. My friend also spun around quickly and would have seen or at least heard someone running away. Also where my partner was 'frisked' it was a wide open space so he would have seen someone if it was just some wierdo. At night sound travels and seems louder but he didnt hear anything. |

I can't tell from the website. But where the Lakeside Nature Reserve car park is, there's a playground on the right and the lake in front. If you look directly across the car park you can see a fishing swim opposite which is where my friend said he was punched. You have to walk through the woods to the right of the car park then go left at the fork. Then left into the swim but it's quite hidden and over grown from this side. If you follow the path to the left of the car park to the fourth and fifth fishing spot, there's quite an open space and a small hill (about two feet high) between the path and the fishing area. That's where my partner was touched and where we both saw the figure. |

Presumably you mean here. I don't think there's anything paranormal going on there, just someone who wanders through that land, perhaps even camps there and likes to scare visitors. I'm sure the people who run the place must know something. |
