i agree most children who are abused are abused by people they know.i think its sad that kids cant be kids anymore.on the news yesterday it said the police need no further questioning of the parents but which way do we take that that they dont need any further questioning because they feel they have all the answers they need or have they changed their minds on their involvement.all the news reports seam to contradict themselves because mins before the above report on questioning they reported that portagese police had flown over to question the parents.its all very confusing. |

I don't believe anything the news media says anymore.... history has taught me they are unrelyable and usually only tell you what they want you to know thus, directing they way you think about something by not giving you all the facts..
I was abused by my alcoholic father as a kid... I understand about abuse all to well and it is sad as you say.. |

With my Dad it was physical and mental... One never gets over these things that happen as a kid... it is like a life sentence.... |

it is yeah, they would ground us or take our stuff off us, that seemed to do the trick, we hated to be grounded, im the same with my kids, i wouldnt dream of smacking them its not right in my eyes and its a shame other parents think different |

i use to get smacked by my mum but in my eyes want my dad did left more scares than any smacks ever did cos constantly being put down has held me back from doing anything in my life.i never saw it as real abuse cos the scares and damage is not visable. |
