When i was 14 a friend of mine was staying the night at my house, that night in my bedroom a flashing burst of light appeared at the bottom of my bed, it flash then dissapear to reappear in a different part of the room. After a couple of hours we went to sleep. The next night we stayed at my friends house which was about 4 miles from my house, that night the same burst of light happened at my friends house to but this time much more aggressive, it was happening all over the room and even going off in our faces and under the bed sheets when we tried to hide from it. Me my friend and his two brothers all witnessed this and have never forgotten about it eventhough im 33 now. Anyone else had this happen to them or any ideas as to what was going on. |

Hi Gav and welcome to the forum
Has this ever happened since, or have you ever experienced any other paranormal activity? |

hi gav, welcome to the forum
was it like a ball of light? what size would you estimate it?
ive not had an experience like this before but my brother has, him and his wife followed a ball of coloured light around their bedroom wall, it lasted for quite a while then just disapeared
they never found out what it was?
your experience is one you will never forget but unfortunately will probably never know what it was
has anything like this happened again or was it a one off? |

Ive never had this happen to me ever again but i have had other unexplainable things happen to me like when i was 19 and i bought my first house the tv would turn itself on, id go downstairs and turn it off and by the time i was back in bed it would be back on. Also one night me and my then girlfriend were watching tv in my bedroom when we heard someone running up and down my stairs, when i plucked up the courage to open the bedroom door it stoped and no one was there, only to start again when i closed the door. the most frightening experiance was when i was 23 staying at my girlfriends house, it was about three in the morning when my girlfriends cat woke us up by hissing at the bedroom door, we both laid looking at each other wondering what had gotten in to it when a really eary creapy voice said my girlfriends name, we jumped out of bed and ran out the house to a friends house, we did not go back till the next day. I could go on and on as i have had so many |

It wasnt very large about the size of a large coin. It was a bright white light and the best way to describe it is like a strobe light which started with a bright flash where ever it appeared. it wasnt a perfect circle like most orbs it was star like in shape with a bright centre and strands of light radiating out from the centre. |

Hi Gav,
I just spotted this, Firsly I beleive you and secondly I beleive this is paranormal for sure. We have the same phenomina here over the last 3-4 years or so, not quite the same but certenly simular stories.
My lights flare up at random times, personaly I have had about 6 encounters and just the other day a minor flash occoured but i'm used to it now.this time it was as I was opening the dinning room door and orange flash came from the dark somewhere to my right. These flashes are very odd and I cant begin to explan what exactly they are.
When veiwed head on these flashes are like blue or green/blue swirls that flash and illuminate the whole room breifly with the odd light. Also the flashes seem to ambush sometimes favoring flashing near my head on the stairs, when its that close all I see is illumination around where I am and it does freak me out a bit.
Try and find my mysterious lights post.
Other than myself not many others will think this is paranormal so forget proving anything, more favoring dodgy electronics but hey we know better.
We also have had a white orb in 79 that entered my room and was seen over a couple of weeks. |

So because you can't explain them - they're paranormal?.

Hi Gav,
Thanks for posting that odd experience. after 19 years would you not say your recollection of it may be not entirely accurate?. Flashing lights could have any one of a number of causes - both external and internal. Can you remember the events immediately prior to this?.

Some interesting experiences there. What are your beliefs eg: life after death? spirits? religious/God?
Have you ever seen a ghost?
I would be interested in hearing more of your experiences. |
