I can always remember two dreams vividly as a kid. I think they are both linked to fear or repression of some kind, thought i'd share them and see if anyone had similar dreams.
Remember the big fuzzy monster McDonalds used to use in advertisements? Think he were purple. I used to dream there was a family of them with father, mother and son. I'd dream i was in my bedroom and they'd be knocking on the door. I remember being scared in the dream and had 2 choices. I could let them in where they would proceed to tickle me till it hurt. Either that or they would break the door down and do the same. I haven't had this dream since I was young.
The other dream, is basically a paralysis one which I still do occassionally have. The recurring one is where i'm asleep, wake up and can't move in the dream. It's now to the point where I call out in my sleep and my wife wakes me. I have had it once where I was dreaming i was dreaming I couldn't move. That one freaked me a little!
Anyway, they're the main ones I have. No supernatural/paranormal conotations. Just some sort of psychological disturbance I would imagine ha. Would be intrigued if anyone experienced a similar thing. |

the first dream to me would indicate that at the time of the dream you were afraid of something that you later realised was not as scary as you first thought like a situation at school or home and the fact they would come in regardless of you letting them is showing me that the situation would of been out of your hands.e.g bullying or some adult who you deemed a threat..it would be interesting to know if when the dream stopped did something big in your life get resolved ?
the paralysis one can be due to you waking during the wrong stage of sleep and it can be very frightening to deal with but is very common . |
