In The Ghosthunter Chronicles the Haunted Britain Team described something called ‘The Stone Wall Phenomena Theory’ [SWPT]. Basically that a building [or place] can “capture and record” events. They likened an environment to a “blank video cassette” that can be played over and over again.
I tend to think that each building has its own ‘resonant frequency’ or ‘wavelength’. And, if someone is ‘receptive’ [ie ‘tuned’ to the ‘wavelength’ of the place they are in], then the ‘recording’ appears visually. [BTW, the Great Pyramid has been found to ‘resonate’ at 16 Hertz, the same ‘wavelength’ as earthquakes, and waves on a beach!]
In the late 19th/early 20th Century Sir William Crookes, John Logie Baird and Sir Oliver Lodge were Radio and TV pioneers. Their experiments led them to draw conclusions on the subject of Life After Death. They were convinced we possess two distinct bodies:
1) The ‘visible‘ or ‘finite‘. This is our ‘physical body’ containing the brain. And this organ ceases to function when we die.
2) The ‘invisible’, ’infinite’, or ‘etheric’. This contains the mind, which survives our death. Yet, during our lives, the 'etheric' is ‘housed’ in the very protons, neutrons and electrons of our ‘finite body’.
The two bodies separate at death. According to Michael Roll, Head of Campaign for Philosophical Freedom, this ‘body’, we now know, is made of
“the same stuff that…television signals are made of - invisible light waves.”
But the ‘etheric body’ vibrates on a “finer and faster” sub-atomic level than TV and radio waves. And at a higher frequency. Ghosts maybe a kind of ‘morphic resonance’ we leave on our surroundings when we die. A ‘psychic imprint’, if you like. |

I have read that it is believed that the sand/silica in the sandstone walls of old buildings acts like the magnetic tape on audio cassettes and can record things. |

I think that any haunting or sighting of something that repeats over and over again is very likely to be the 'Stone Tape Theory' If it has no intelligence and just goes through the motions then for me it is a repeat of an event from years past. If the 'ghost' reacts to you, replies to direct questions or is seen in different places then it's more likely to be a grounded spirit. |

That I have heard to, YB. It works on a similar principal as a microchip in a calculator, watch, mobile, etc, in the fact that 'data' is 'stored'. I have two Crystal Skulls - one Clear Quartz and the other Rose Quartz, and, if what I have read about them is right, they can be 'programmed' with all kinds of information. I'd like to know how it's done! If anyone has any ideas please let me know.
Cheers |

I am amazed by how many types of ghost there are! I have listed just three here:-
Recording/Residual
The most 'familiar' kind, or type. Such ghosts are generally described as 'like a recording'. The same thing (noises, object movement, apparitions) will occur in the same place repeatedly. This is why they are also called Cyclic Hauntings.
Shadow Ghosts
Appear as a shadow of sorts. Often dark grey to black in colour. In photographs, can be confused with natural shadows. Usually seen out of the corner of your eye. Or darting through a wall. Yet can also be reflections in shiny objects and mirrors. [My Brother in Law saw the mirror reflection of that red-haired lady when on honeymoon.] One of the rarest types to be captured on film. Birds and cats are especially sensitive to them.
Territorial Ghosts
Ghosts attached to a specific place that had significance to them in life. They may even be 'guarding' that location. They are also called Grounded Hauntings. Territorial Ghosts may even resort to violence to get people out of their territory.
Unlike 'residual' ghosts, they can acknowledge living people. And 'interact' with them. Psychics and mediums are able to 'converse' with them. And might be able to establish the reason for the 'grounding'. Once dealt with, the haunting may cease.
The alleged ghost of Mary, Queen of Scots at the Talbot Inn, Oundle, Northants, is said to be one of these ghosts. I shall deal with this location in another posting.

I purchased 'Frankie', the Clear Quartz Skull on 6 September 2008. I bought 'Rosetta', the Rose Quartz Skull, some months earlier. They both came from Rock and Gem Shows held at the Newark Showground, Notts. And 'named' themselves! They are both about the size of a small child's skull.
Slightly larger is 'Freddy'. A Glass Skull I bought in the Ossuary shop at the Sedlec Monastery, Kutna Hora, Czech Republic, in November 2004. This Charnel House Edgar Allen Poe would've loved! They all 'live' on my window-sill in my bedroom.
Among my numerous other crystals are four angels, made of Morganite, Angelite, Rose Quartz and Clear Quartz. As well as Obelisks and Pyramids [several of Lapis Lazuli], Geodes, a Camel, an Elephant... .

Thank you. But now I can understand why modern 'ghost hunters', like the Haunted Britain Team use such a panalopy of electronic recording and measuring equipment in their investigations! |
