I've been a bit quiet lately. Life and all.
But yeah, had a few things happen last weekend. Last Saturday night I was trying to sleep and kept hearing stuff landing on the floor in the kitchen. I just thought it was the cats being little terrors. Then maybe 15 minutes after I heard the last thing hit the floor I heard thumping in my hallway. Like maybe a basketball hitting the floor but slightly muffled.
It was a distinct cadence as well. Thump... thump... thump. THUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMP.. thump... thump... thump. It went on for maybe 2 minutes.
I should have woke up Graham but I was too shit scared to see what was thumping in my hallway! LOL!
Initially I thought it was our Persian, he does this funny thing when he stretches he steps really hard on the floor making a thumping sound but it's no where near as loud as this.
ANYWAY, the next day Graham and I were sitting in the living room and I heard this huge CRASH in the kitchen. All 4 cats were accounted for before going in the kitchen.
The night before I'd cooked like 4 dozen sugar cookies and the big square plastic tub they were in was on the floor with a flat baking pan ontop of it. 0.0!
The box with the cookies in it was quite heavy, that was on the counter, the baking sheet was ontop of the stove opposite.
Oh, and my recipe book somehow got from the counter next to the box of cookies, across the room and behind the stove.
The only really annoying bit was that all my cookies were smashed. It was my first attempt at making them so I was quite proud that they turned out nice. Bleh!
I'm gunna be investing in a video camera and tripod soon. |

Good idea. Rule out the accidental and the animal before considering the supernatural. Certainly seems odd though

The hard part is catching it. Shit doesn't usually go down in the bedroom, it's always in the hall/kitchen. I don't think I could afford 2 cameras, maybe just strategically place it in separate rooms see if I get lucky. :) |

That's the tricky bit. The one everybody is recommending is like £800. *faint* |

Hmm, that's gunna be a tough one. I want there to be enough light so that if something does happen you can see it clearly. But then again if I leave a light on in the house at night I won't sleep. Good excuse to get the bedroom door fixed so I can actually shut it! LOL!
The one I was looking at was a SUPER awesome Sony night vision thing. Ideally I'd like something I can just hook up to the laptop and plug into the wall so I don't have to worry about battery life/changing tapes in the middle of the night. :D |
