As I've mentioned on another thread, I have had a bad experience of a haunting, that really terrified me, though it got me interested in ghosts again, after a long absence of thinking about them. The house I'm in currently has a ghost, but she's awesome. I rent the house from a woman who I've known for years and the house belonged to her mother who lived in it for over 50 years (and the house isn't much older than that) before she died about 4 yrs ago, but rather than being spooky she's actually quite helpful. There is a notice board in the kitchen that has all the emergency gas electric numbers on it and for a while this particular letter with the gas boiler service number kept falling off the board, I just kept pinning it back up, but when it fell off for the fourth time in 2 weeks (nothing else has ever fallen off) I said outloud, Oh FGS, am going to put this in the bin if it doesn't stop falling off! At that point 3 internal doors all slammed simultaneously, even tho there were no windows open that would have created a draught, so I took that as a sign and phoned and made an appointment for them to check the boiler, it turned out that it had been leaking water and whilst was not in anyway dangerous, would have meant that the heating would have stopped working when the water ran out, which the engineer reckoned would have been about 3 weeks, so not only would it have cost a lot of money to fix but I would have been without heating a hot water, in what subsequently turned out to be one of the coldest weeks of the year! She lets us know about her presence in other ways as well, but it's not in the least menacing or worrying |

My daughter, who is very untidy lol has her own room and bathroom at the front of the house and quite often the doors will bang at the front of the house and the keys, which are always in the front door will rattle, yet again when there are no natural draughts as it is all new double glazed windows and door, which makes me get up to go and look and inevitably have to tell daughter to tidy up! My landlady is always fussing around wanting to paint stuff etc as she's very house proud and has says she likes the house to stay the way her mother liked it, so I assume my daughter's untidiness must annoy her lol. My daughter can also feel her presence late at night when she's sitting at her computer or watching TV and suddenly her door will swing and her curtains will move, but it stops as soon as she switches off her equipment and gets ready for bed, so she believes that it's our spirit telling her it's time to go to bed! |

Has your landlady ever mentioned feeling the
presence of her Mother in the home?

No my landlady is totally oblivious and I've never mentioned it to her as I think it would upset her (she has a very black and white way of looking at things, and is very set in her ways!)
No, my daughter is not scared at all and considering her previous experience where she was very scared, it is notable that the two different entities have such opposite effects (though a bit annoying when I feel compelled to start scrubbing down cupboards etc to meet her high standards lol) |
