many people are facinated, yet terrified of encountering spirits, but why?some say they dont exist, some say they cannot,so if they dont or cannot, why are we afraid?
i have been a psychic for many years, since childhood i believe, and have grown up with these occurances,so when people say these things,i find myself edging away,so not to draw attention to myself, because i beleive and have had contact with spirits, the same ones these people are riciculing.this makes me feel like a freak sometimes,so if anyone else out there has had the same feelings or is attached to the spirits in the same way,i would love to hear from you. |

Hello and welcome again Lilly.. I get teased sometimes about ghosts but I take it all in stride since ignorance runs amuck in this world today. I have yet to visually see one. I can only sometimes sense their presents. Do tell us some of your stories. I for one would love to hear them. Thanks..... |

My opinion is that your future is what you make it. Go forward with a positive attitude no matter what the circumstance and most likely you will be fortunate. |

True, like Yoda says, "Always changing is the future." You can get a general idea from readings, but you have the ultimate power to change your own future.
As for why we're fascinated by ghosts, I think it's a deep seated need to know what happens after we die. Every faith system has a different yet similar theory on what happens, and every culture has Spirits. we humans have a need to know we wil go on, and ghosts provide that prrof for us.
That being said, it's scary to us becasue of the stories we're fed as children. I've been working with the parnormal all my life, and have yet to see a ghost. I see their workings, and I communicate with them, but true instances of seeing a full body apparition is very, very rare. Don't believe the movies. |

Hi Xena, I was taking it for granted that you have seen a full apparition of a ghost.
Guess because of your talent. |

Well, it really has nothing to do with talent, just observance and training. Paranormal investigation is more scientific than anything else. My Spiritual leanings help add more sensitivity to it, but that doesn't mean I'm psychic. I'm just somebody who loves learning all I can about the paranormal and am lucky enough to live in a haunted house.
I'd love to see the Spirit of the little boy who resides with us. But it takes a *lot* of energy for a Spirit to manifest, and that's one reason why so few true apparitions exist (except in movies, of course).
But yup...I'm open to it!
Thanks for the vote of confidence. |

I didn't realize it took allot of energy to manifest.
I was under the assumption that only certain people could see ghosts\spirits.
Ahhh, learn something new every day on here! |

Having an open mind isn't really a requirment, as for some reason it's the skeptics who always seem to run into full body apparitions. lol
When I'm talking aobut visual manifestation, that's what I'm talking about...a spirit who shows up standing next to you looking like a living person until they disappear. Such sightings are *incredibly* rare, and maybe make up 5% of real activity overall. Other ways of manifesting are showing up as orbs on film or perhaps a person sees a fleeting whisp of light, a sort of misty visusal apparition and dark shadoes.
Then of course you get into the manifestations of sound. Anything from voices to music to full party or battle re-enactments. These are much more common.
The bottom line they're all incredibly fascinating and should all be valued equally as paranormal occurences. |
